The main features of quality politics are:
- Provide good conditions for employees to work efficiently and make high quality products, ensuring social security, safe and healthy working conditions;
- To improve furniture manufacturing technologies and introduce technical innovations;
- Systematically raise employees' skills;
- Require to supply right quality materials which meet the requirements for products;
- Constantly improve the effectiveness of quality management system.
SC "Freda" manufactures and sells furniture for IKEA according to the ISQAP (IKEAs' supplier quality assurance program) and IWAY standart (Minimum Requirements for Environment, Social & Working Conditions when Purchasing Products, Materials and Services).
SC "Freda" use IWAY, which ensures that all products are produced in a responsible manner using legal requirements, products are made in good working conditions using fair treatment of raw materials, environmental and other sources.
The assessment of manufactured products are guided by IKEA concept – Customer experiences product quality. The product must be:
- Good and healthy (renewable, recyclable materials, free from questionable chemicals, tested, approved and documented);
- Safe to use (product without any dangers, allergies and unhealthy materials, low emission);
- Customer friendly (clean and neat package, easy to handle, easy to assemble, clean and maintain);
- Durable and functional (resistant surface, right materials, good workmanship).
The company has implemented self-testing system which ensures that the above requirements are satisfied. Each week team consisting of an employee from administration and few employees from production imitates buying the product in order to see and evaluate its’ assembly quality through the eyes of the customer.
